Eleven & Max (feat. Mike) | You make me glow

AU: Eleven liked to mess with Mike's feelings because she could. With boys, it never really felt right, so she toyed with them until she was bored. Then, she met Max, and something just felt... right.

Not used to being so attracted to someone — especially not a girl — Eleven hid her feelings, until she just... couldn't. Hopper found out, but he was that cool supportive dad we all deserve.

Then she told Mike, but he didn't take it so well.

After seeing Mike's reaction, Eleven was scared, knowing there are other people like that who think the same way. She ran away, but eventually returned, only to deny her feelings for Max and to ridicule Max for being gay; internalized homophobia.

She told Mike she was just confused and Max catches them kissing, and finally, Eleven can't hide.

She apologized to Max and told her, in front of everyone, that she was in love. Everyone was pretty nice about it.
