✝️ My Personal Testimony: How God Used My Biggest Insecurity to Transform My Heart

When I was 3–4 years old, a bump grew on my forehead and pushed my right eye downward. I grew up with a visibly crooked face, deep insecurity, and years of bullying. I hid behind long hair, avoided eye contact, and begged God to “fix” my appearance.

But every time I prayed, God brought me to 2 Corinthians 12:9:
“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.”

It felt like God was saying no — and I was angry. I even walked away from faith for about a year.

But in that season, God revealed something deeper:
“Brian, stop focusing on your crooked face. See your crooked heart.”

That truth broke me and healed me.
My problem wasn’t my face — it was my heart.
My insecurity, pride, comparison, fear, and unbelief.

Romans 5:8 pierced me:
“While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

God’s love replaced my shame with confidence.
I cut my hair, stopped hiding, and began to walk in the freedom of Christ.

Today, I preach—not because I am strong, but because Christ lives in me, and His grace truly is enough.

Romans 8:32 reminds us:
“How will He not also graciously give us all things?”

This is my story.
This is His grace.
And I pray it encourages you today.
