Use Pokémon merge glitch to get over 70 shiny Pokémon (Generation I with Gen II)

Requested by Japanese 64G. This derivative of the Pokémon merge glitch (Q glitch) lets you make any Pokémon shiny, with one catch.* I heard MissingnoXpert used this trick(?), and I don't doubt that others have used it too since the Pokémon merge glitch isn't that obscure.

*To make the Pokémon stable so you can trade it to Generation II, you have to evolve it first. You can use stone evolutions even though the game may say "Not Able" on the Pokémon screen (all you have to do is press A).

You can also use the evolutions of glitch Pokémon. You can find them in the attachments of this thread. http://forums.glitchcity.info/index.p... Unfortunately, all Yellow Ditto trick glitch Pokémon evolutions are over level 100 or need the evolve without stone glitch (which doesn't work in Yellow), or an unconfirmed trade evolution, but e.g. LM4 in Red/Blue evolves into Clefairy and Nidoking below level 100.

Requirements:
1) Q (FF) or Charizard 'M (FF).

Getting Q (FF) in Yellow -: Do the Ditto trick with a Special stat of 192 to get 44 Hy. Ditto can be found in B1F of the Cinnabar Pokémon Mansion. Evolve it to get Q (nicknamed 255) http://glitchcity.info/wiki/index.php...

Getting Charizard 'M (FF) in Red/Blue -: Either trade Q (FF) over from Yellow, or do the CoolTrainer glitch with screen data from this spot http://i.minus.com/jbia9KQ4whZJpb.png; which is from a 'natural' (Safari Zone exit glitch) Route 1 Glitch City. 2) A shiny Pokémon in Gold, Silver, Crystal. Fortunately the Red Gyarados always appears as part of the story.

Steps:
1) Get the shiny Pokémon from Generation II on to your Generation I game via trade.
2) Go to an empty box and deposit in this order: any Pokémon, Q or Charizard 'M, the shiny Pokémon you want (which you'll have to evolve) and then the Red Gyarados.
3) Withdraw the first Pokémon and then the last Pokémon, and evolve the last Pokémon.
4) Though it'll have Gyarados' name and moves, the Pokémon you get will be a completely normal shiny that can be traded to Generation II.

Notes:

The Pokémon's experience after it evolves may not match its level; it may level up or down if you battle with it again. It's a good idea to use an extra Rare Candy to fix it.

Unless it's an emulation error, entering the trade center with a hex:FF in Yellow's party may mess up the Pokémon list according to the other side like the FE corruption glitch.    • ????? (FE) corruption glitch (Generations ...
