Located in Dorchester NH is the Greenwoodlands trail system. This is a multi use trail system for hikers, bikers, and XC skiers in the winter.
The trail network extends quite a ways through the region and you could easily spend all day here exploring without backtracking.
In this video, we climb to the top of Norris hill using the Town House, Quimby, and Norris Hill trails. It’s a fair bit of climbing, rising around 800 feet once you get to the top, but you’ll be faced with an absolute treat when you get there. The Norris Hill trail extends from the peak of Norris Hill all the way down to the valley below, depending on your skill level you could be treated with 10+/- minutes of incredibly fun descending! Berms, rocks, slabs, and jumps abound as you make your way down. Be forewarned that there is a fair bit of climbing to get out of the valley, so take some time to relax at the brook and top off on water and food.
Today I rode with my father in law on a stunner of an October day. The trees are at their peak foliage and with the incredibly blue sky coupled with the intense sun, the woods were simply alive and on fire. Enjoy short clips of our climb with the full Norris Hill downhill section, along with the full Town House downhill section!
