Описание:

Dwelling a little while with the differences for Super7 vs ML7 cross-slides, then moving onto the scraping of the underside of the cross-slide. The dovetail and gibs will be dealt with in another video (they have a tendency to get too long anyway, so is probably OK to break up into separate subjects).
All this material has been, in some form or another, been shown before (well, apart from experiment with pull scraping to see how this could function as a finishing technique/pattern), but as there may be new sides to this I have taken the time to document it again.

As also written in the comments section:
If you are serious about scraping I would heartily recommend taking a scaping class. There are several that may offer some kind of tutorial/lesson/classes. BIAX classes are held in Austria by the company Maschratur https://www.maschratur.at/ and in the US where Richard King is still doing his http://www.handscraping.com/ PS! He may retire in not the so distant future, so enlist now :). I believe there are regular scraping classes in the UK.. check for example at H.R. Lamb & Sons for availability   / 100058286474751
Myself and one other of Richard's students are also loosely planning a weekend class (2-3 days) sometime in 2023 in Sweden. We will judge if and when later, but based on the feedback it seems there is interest for a basic class.
I usually emphasize the reward you get from taking a scraping class, for me it "clicked" and brought my scraping skills and understanding quite a leap forward.. In fact, had I not taken the first Richard King class I doubt I would ever have gained enough knowledge to get where I am today. That said, there is much material eg. on YT to learn from, just be picky when it comes to content and practice and always question what you see/hear. Personally I have at least the "backing" from participating in several RK scraping & alignment classes and now also some years of experience, although on a hobby basis. I can still easily be "outperformed" 😁, but the basic knowledge & understanding of the subject is there, so usually manage.

Happy new year to all of you and take care!
