Science City, Kolkata is a large science centre and park located in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It is the largest science centre in the Indian subcontinent, developed and run by the National Council of Science Museums under the Government of India. The complex opened in 1997 and blends education with interactive entertainment, making science accessible and engaging for visitors of all ages. It features immersive galleries such as Space Odyssey, Dynamotion Hall, Earth Exploration Hall, a sprawling Science Park, and immersive experiences like planetarium shows, 3D theatres, simulators, and hands-on exhibits that illustrate concepts in physics, space, life sciences, and technology. Alongside the science exhibits, a Convention Centre hosts conferences, seminars, and cultural events.
