Adelaide to Melbourne | The Great Ocean Road

Our incredible road trip from Adelaide to Melbourne along the Great Ocean Road.

We started off in Adelaide SA on Christmas Day and then finishing up on New Years day in Melbourne VIC. After a few days in Adelaide we hired a camper van, and started driving east along south Australia's stunning coastline.

We stopped to try some wines in the McLaren Vale vineyards and then
kept heading east. Driving around the Fleurieu Peninsula the contract between the bone dry land and the crystal clear water is truly remarkable.

We kept heading east until we detoured inland to visit the prehistoric Naracoorte caves, and then drove down to Umpherston sinkhole. An lush ecosystem 30m down in this perfectly circular sink hole.

Going forward we kept heading east along the coast until we reached the great ocean road. Crusing along the great ocean road in our little van was a real highlight, seeing the 12 apostles and stopping at Lock Ard gorge along the way.

Then we B lined it straight to Melbourne where we over indulged for a few days in the city and finished off with the New Years fireworks show at Southbank.
