My Mom Says Her Last Words

My mom spoke her last words over the phone to me before she went into coma. She had a brain aneurysm and was losing platelets on Heparin. When this happens its an immediate signal that you are allergic to Heparin. You never give platelets on top of that because platelets cause blood clots with Heparin allergy. So not only did she get damage from Heparin and blood clots, but the added 2-3 bags of platelets created blood clots all over her body. Lungs, finger, heart, and several all over her brain. She was talking, moving, following commands, sitting up, and standing. She was on her way to recovery before this happened. She spent 10 days on Heparin and she is part of the very small population that is super-hyper allergic to Heparin, not a normal "allergy" as they say everyone is "a little allergic," so they missed all the signs that she was severely allergic and continued to give it to her far beyond what they were supposed to. All because the better clot prevention medication is super expensive. Really........ Heparin needs to be taken off the market and drugs need to be more affordable so hospitals can use drugs that aren't going to destroy peoples lives.

She is in coma now, in hospital and she is not brain dead or a vegetable, but she has not woken up yet. It is likely she will never come home because we cannot take her out of the hospital in her condition. I would love to, but she requires hospital care at this time and is still being treated for a variety of hospital illnesses and infections. Everything that could happen to my mom has happened and mistakes were made. Big ones. My mom has chiari malformation and is probably the parent that has EDS, and is most likely why she has the allergy and the vascular issues. Had we known something like this would happen to her, we would have been more proactive to check for aneurysms of the heart and brain. Now we know for me and my kids, if nothing else. We are hoping and praying for a miracle for her. She had already gotten one when she lived, but now we need another so she wakes up. Thank you for all your support, and I hope that by sharing these videos, we can help someone out there be more aware and take this more seriously, and get check for aneurysms if you have EDS!
