(New)Gamecube Controller Trigger Fix | Explanation and Tutorial

Alternative Fixes
Some people have mentioned that they don't have old controllers and can't easily find them so I'm including some alternative fixes that I've seen people mention. Because the problem comes from the tension between the trigger brushing the shell, anything that reduces this friction can help alleviate the problem.

-You can try sanding your existing triggers and or the shell of your controller. The opening which the trigger slides in and out of can be sanded to provide an easy reduction of friction.

-You can also apply some mechanical lube to the opening that the trigger rests in and in the black plastic box which the trigger pushes into to activate the button press. Lubricating the shell will reduce most of the friction problems that people have.
