This is my first drive in Gertie, our 1932 Austin Seven PD Tourer since we’ve got the garage finished, Gertie’s cable brakes and shoes cleaned up and working and her flexible coupling free from knocking against the handbrake ratchet bracket. Gary came round to help fettle the carb and tickle her under the bonnet. A bit of training round Bunch Lane and even to the garage to fill her up. I’ve started to feel a bit more confident driving her, now the brakes are biting a bit. She puts a smile on the faces of all I haven’t managed to nudge into a hedgerow with her gorgeous wings.
