Installing a New Shower Valve with 3-Way Diverter [copper pipe]

It’s imperative that you plan out your attack via the plumbing layout when you’re going to install a shower valve kit. This kit has a 3-way diverter built in. What the heck is that? Well, it allows you to divert the water from the tub spout (1), to the handheld shower head (2), or you can choose the rainfall shower (3). This is a great option if you need a shower valve kit installed in your soaking bath remodel. It’s the best of all three worlds!

This particular valve kit and fixture assembly is not made by a popular brand, but it does (at the time of this video) have a bunch of great reviews. And we love the oil-rubbed bronze on the fixtures it comes with. Everything is in the box! Well, as you’ll see in this video here, the shower valve install went a little different than the box design. But, everything you’ll need to follow along is listed here.
