For nearly 28 years, the town of Old Fort, North Carolina, the gateway to the Blue Ridge mountains hosted an old-timey gem, OLD FORT MOUNTAIN MUSIC. Harkening back to the days when after a long day of working in the fields, neighbors got together to play on the back porch, Old Fort kept the tradition alive until its recent closing. This film hopes to capture a taste of this musical legacy produced by the Center for Cultural Preservation as part of its Mountain Elder Wisdom series.
