Traveling in India’s Iconic TAMIL NADU EXPRESS! 🇮🇳 Chennai Central to New Delhi

Join me on an epic 2,182 km rail adventure across India! In today’s video, I am boarding one of the most legendary and prestigious trains of the Indian Railways—the Tamil Nadu Express (12621).

Traveling from the humid coast of MGR Chennai Central all the way to the heart of the country, New Delhi, this journey is more than just a train ride; it’s a high-speed skip across the diverse landscapes of India.

A Legacy on Tracks:
The Tamil Nadu Express has a fascinating history. Inaugurated on August 7, 1976, by the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, it was originally a tri-weekly service. Over the decades, its popularity grew so much that by 1988, it became a daily service. It was the first "superfast" train to connect the South to the North with such efficiency, earning it the nickname "The King" among rail enthusiasts.
The Journey & Timetable:

I boarded the train at Chennai Central (MAS) at 22:00 (10:00 PM). Over the next 32 hours and 30 minutes, we crossed several states including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh before finally reaching New Delhi (NDLS) at 06:30 AM on the third day.

Key Halts in my Journey:
Vijayawada Jn: The first major morning stop.

Nagpur: The orange city, perfect for a mid-day snack.
Bhopal/Itarsi: Crossing through the heart of Madhya Pradesh.
Jhansi & Agra: The final stretch before the capital.
