One of the most exciting chases I have ever been on as we snagged 4 tornadoes in the Central/Eastern part of Arkansas. Starting in Arkadelphia, initiation fired right over us. Through the afternoon and evening hours, this cluster really got its act together, with cells becoming more discrete. Very large hail, hail fog, flooding, structure, mammatus, positive bolts, and extreme winds were just the tip of the iceberg. We snuck down to a cell as it crossed the Arkansas River at Grady. We were on the E side of the river, where the terrain resembles that of some remote place in Kansas. This cell was powerful, beautiful, and very cyclic. Dropping at least 4 separate tornadoes from what we saw. Power flashes and the low deafening roar accompanied the one as it slipped into Marvall, AR in the dark of night.
