I never thought a trip to the Switzerland of India would turn into such an extreme survival test. My journey began in the spiritual town of Joshimath, where I hopped onto the famous Joshimath to Auli ropeway. The view from the chair car was like a dream—soaring over dense oak forests and watching the Himalayan peaks like Nanda Devi and Trishul get closer with every foot of elevation.

But the real adventure started when I reached the top. Instead of a luxury stay, I chose a Mule ride deep into the snow-laden trails to find the perfect spot for winter camping. By the time I reached the Auli Artificial Lake, the world had turned into a white mirror. The lake was completely frozen, reflecting a sky so blue it looked fake.

As the sun dipped behind the mountains, I went for a jungle walk through the deodar trees. The silence was haunting, broken only by the crunch of fresh snow under my boots. But then, the temperature plummeted to -10 degrees.

I spent the night shivering in my sleeping bag inside a small tent, listening to the wind howl. This wasn't just a travel vlog; it was a lesson in how raw and powerful the Uttarakhand Himalayas can be. From trekking in Gorson Bugyal to surviving a night in the snow, this is the story of my most extreme Auli trip yet.
