Helen Ward came out of retirement again in 1952 and would eventually record and tour with the Benny Goodman Orchestra. This clip is from a recording session for Pax Records with Wild Bill Davison's newly formed band. Helen's vocal is spot on but from an instrumental standpoint, Wild Bill's cornet solo is truly one of his greatest on record. Davison covers a full range of musical emotions in his solo from soft to mild to brash and wild. Simply stunning! Enjoy!
