In this video, I redesigned and re-built the filter box for my fish tank. With the new design, the filter is placed at the back of the tank instead of laying on top. This setup will help to reduce the stress on the glass of the tank (due to the weight of the setup) and also allowing access to all corners inside the tank.
In the end, I decided to only use Golden Pothos as the plant for the filter box because Garlic plants have a short life cycle and their roots won't be permanent.
After a month, the water is still crystal clear without any cleaning or partial changing. I only continued to add water every 3 to 4 days.
I do have problems with Algae on the glass of the tank. I have been trying an organic way to cleaning it up by using few algae eater fishes:
Clown Pleco
Rubber Pleco
Bristlenose Pleco
Hillstream loach
I'll give more updates about the algae cleaning in the next video.
