Kingdom Hearts - Dearly Beloved | Jazz Remake

Yoko Shimomura gave us this masterpiece, so it was time to jazzify it.
There is already an official jazz arrangement, but to me, it doesn’t feel as nostalgic as I would have wanted. Let’s not forget that Kingdom Hearts first released in 2002 — that makes this theme over 20 years old.

Because of its emotional tone, deep nostalgia, and iconic status, Dearly Beloved is widely regarded as one of the most recognizable and beloved video-game themes of all time. That’s why so many fans and musicians keep revisiting it in different styles. Even within fan communities, you’ll often see people saying things like “this version hits the hardest” or “for me, the KH3 version is the best, nothing else comes close.”

At this point, there are almost as many versions of Dearly Beloved as there are pasta variations in Italy (and that’s definitely not a complaint lmao).
