👻 Death Stranding - Is It Worth Playing in 2025 [Retrospective Review]

📦 Death Stranding is one of the strangest, most memorable games I’ve ever played. It’s part walking simulator, part inventory manager, part psychological art film; and somehow, it works. In this video, I talk about my time with the game, what surprised me, what annoyed me, and why I think it’s still worth playing in 2025.

🌧️ Kojima's vision of isolation, connection, and resilience lands in a way that's hard to describe but easy to feel. Whether it's the surprisingly emotional multiplayer system, the eerie tone, or the quiet beauty of simply walking from point A to B. It all adds up to something weirdly cathartic.

🎧 There’s definitely a learning curve, and it’s not for everyone. But when it clicks, it really clicks. Death Stranding challenged the way I think about moment-to-moment gameplay (and life) and how a story can unfold without relying on constant combat.

🚶‍♂️ I didn’t fast travel much. I don’t say that to sound cool but to highlight how much the journey became the point. The traversal itself becomes the emotional throughline. And yeah, some of the story gets a bit silly... but there’s real heart here.

🎮 With Death Stranding 2: On the Beach having released to glowing reviews, I wanted to finally give the first one the time it deserved. It took a while; but yeah - 'I get it'
