Some MLAs are not even giving the seniors the minimum priority. As a result, many senior leaders across united Nellore district are expressing dissatisfaction and frustration. Before the elections, some people supported the TDP instead of the then ruling party. A few of them, after disputes with family members, left their original parties and joined the alliance.

Among them is Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy, who has represented Udayagiri four times and belongs to a prominent family in the YSR Congress Party. Before the elections, he rebelled against the then ruling party and, after disagreements with his brother and former MP Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, joined the TDP. He hoped to get a ticket for the assembly elections but did not receive one due to political calculations.

After the elections, the party leadership promised Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy and his family that they would be given importance. However, once the elections were over, the ruling party sidelined the Mekapati family.
