We play as Kenji. Although we participated in Pearl Harbor, we have little flying experience. The objective is for Japan to win the war. Survival is secondary.
___ About the game _______
"Battlehawks 1942" is a World War II aviation game set in the Pacific. The game features a set of training missions and another set based on real historical battles. You don't have to follow a specific order. You can play as either a Japanese or American pilot.
A unique feature is the mini-campaign where you can create a pilot and try to survive 16 missions to retire. However, if you lose 10 planes, you're retired from service. It's a small but engaging campaign, which is more than you can say for most modern games. The one downside is that if you change any difficulty settings, even to make the game harder, the mission won't count toward your campaign progress.
