A several year old video out of Operation Enduring Freedom shows a JDAM (Joint Direct Attack Munition) being used to obliterate a Taliban position during a firefight.

The JDAM is an aftermarket kit applied to an ordinarily “dumb” unguided bomb, which converts it into a precision guided munition. The program was jointly developed by the Air Force and Navy and is applied to 500-pound, 1,000-pound, and 2,000-pound bombs.
