Sony AX700 the all in one camcorder and the Leeming LUT

Sony AX700 camcorder. The relative best all in one camera that is still affordable. In my opinion it is the Sony AX700. Because it combines many important functions that you need for filming. Compact, has a large zoom lens range, has built-in stabilizer, 3-stage ND filter, and cine gammas for film-like looks.

At a time when camcorders are not yet obsolete, the Sony AX700 proves to be a first-class choice for various applications. The usefulness of this camcorder is particularly evident in the outdoor area, where quick action is required. It offers remarkable flexibility with its built-in ND filter that is easy to use and allows for quick adjustments.

Another highlight is the large zoom range, which makes it possible to capture different perspectives without having to change the camera. The built-in image stabilizer (IBIS) offers solid performance, giving the user freedom of movement and enabling blur-free shots. While the results aren't comparable to those of a gimbal, the stabilizer still delivers usable results, especially for quick shots on the go.

A key advantage of the Sony AX700 is its all-in-one nature. Thanks to its compact design and the ability to transport it in a conventional camera bag, it is extremely practical and does not require any complicated assembly. I even made a homemade windshield, which makes the camera even more versatile.

The attractive price makes the Sony AX700 even more interesting. It offers a wide range of features, including the ability to create a film-like look using Cine Gamma or Picture Profile modes. Personally, I prefer the Cine2 Picture Profile and the Still setting for natural skin tones. To get the most out of my shots, I first use the Leeming Technical LUT and then apply the Lemming Creative LUT "Skin Lomo", which gives me an analog filmic look through its coloring.

I have taken all of my recordings so far with this setting, which shows how versatile the Sony AX700 can be used for a wide variety of shooting situations.
