This weekend, weather forecasts indicate that isolated showers and thunderstorms are likely in parts of the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal, providing a much-needed boost of rain to these regions. Additionally, light drizzle may be observed along the south-western and southern coasts, offering a refreshing respite from the typical weather. In contrast, the central and north-eastern regions of South Africa will continue to experience warm to hot conditions, creating a distinct difference from the cooler, milder temperatures found in the southern areas of the country. For those living in or traveling to northern KwaZulu-Natal, eastern Mpumalanga, and both central and northern Limpopo, it's crucial to be aware of fire danger warnings. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected today, so residents should take precautions against potential fire hazards.
