Worm Bin Experiment: 5000 Red Wigglers vs Frozen Head Of Cabbage Day 1 | Vermicompost Worm Farm

Lets see how long it takes 5000 compost worms to turn a whole head of cabbage into organic fertilizer & soil amendments in the form of worm castings for my garden!! We'll also see how they are progressing with the alien looking banana flower stalk we put in several weeks ago after a freeze killed my banana plant!

We harvested castings right before this feeding and I've put some in a mesh bag to make my worm casting compost tea. We put saved the worms captured during harvest and combined those worms with baby worms baited out from my storage container and we added them to my Urban Worm Bag to boost the numbers...check out the worm time lapse release in this video!!
