PRIME DEBATE| Zumbadance Controversy | മുസ്ലിം സംഘടനകൾ കടുത്ത എതിർപ്പുയർത്തുമ്പോഴും സുംബ ഡാൻസിൽ നിന്ന് ഒരടി പോലും പിന്നോട്ട് പോകേണ്ടതില്ലെന്ന നിലപാടിലാണ് സർക്കാർ. രാവിലെ കോഴിക്കോട് നടത്തിയ വാർത്താ സമ്മേളനത്തിൽ ഇക്കാര്യം വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ മന്ത്രി വി ശിവൻകുട്ടി നിലപാട് വ്യക്തമാക്കി. ആരും അൽപ്പ വസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കാൻ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടിട്ടില്ല . ചില കോണുകളിൽ നിന്ന് ഉയരുന്ന എതിർപ്പ് ലഹരിയെക്കാൾ മാരകമാണെന്നും ശിവൻകുട്ടി പറഞ്ഞു.

Even as Muslim organizations raise strong objections, the government maintains its stand that there is no need to back down even an inch from Zumba dance. Education Minister V. Sivankutty clarified this position at a press conference held in Kozhikode in the morning. He said no one is being asked to wear skimpy clothes. Sivankutty also remarked that the wave of opposition rising from certain quarters is even more dangerous.
