What can our camera roll really tell us about the world? This talk explores how everyday photos, taken on our phones, secretly capture shadows, reflections, and even individual photons—and how new AI systems can use these hidden signals to see the invisible 3D world around us. Nikhil Behari is a graduate student in the Camera Culture group at the MIT Media Lab and a NASA Space Technology Graduate Research Fellow. His research at MIT is centered around designing new AI systems that use hidden visual cues captured by everyday cameras to see the invisible 3D world around us.
