Panel discussion: Covid pandemic and migrant women / Panelová diskuse: Pandemie Covid a migrantky

In a panel discussion, SIMI discussed with other NGOs about the impacts of the Covid pandemic on migrant women living in the Czech Republic. We introduced various forms of support to these women and migrant communities, as well as their own initiatives. Then we also reflected the situation of the civil society organizations during the protracted pandemic crisis. The panelists represented the associations Matertera, Dr. Chekhov, the umbrella Czech Women's Lobby and the Anonymous Migrants project.

The discussion took place during the international symposium "Borders, Mobility of Care and Translocal Social Reproduction", organized by the Institute of Sociology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and the Faculty of Humanities at Charles University.

V panelové diskusi SIMI s dalšími nevládními organizacemi sdíleli své praktické zkušenosti nad dopady pandemie Covid na migrantky žijící v ČR. Představili jsme různé formy podpory těmto ženám a migrantským komunitám, jakož i jejich vlastní iniciativy. Reflektovali jsme i situaci samotných nevládních organizací během vleklé pandemické krize. V diskusi zazněly zkušenosti ze spolků Matertera, Dr. Čechov, Česká ženská lobby a dále z projektu Anonymní migranti.

Diskuse proběhla během mezinárodního sympozia „Hranice, mobilita péče a translokální sociální reprodukce“, pořádaného Sociologickým ústavem AV ČR a Fakultou humanitních studií Univerzity Karlovy.
