Morocco Canyon in Wet Mode | North Wash Utah

Morocco Canyon is normally a fun descent - well, it's still fun, but be prepared for a little extra effort and some more padding. While these pools won't last forever, the canyon conditions in Slot Canyons are always changing and the conditions that have been in North Wash Utah as of late are surely evolving. This Winter and Spring season has been unusually wet and has given us some challenges in our plans.
When Tony contacted me and hired us to take him through a few canyons I knew that we were in for some different conditions that we normally would have had. Tony participated in our Advanced Canyoneering and Canyon Rescue Courses and wanted a watchful eye over him again as he hasn't done much rigging in the past couple years and he needed to have a little bit of confidence boost to feel good again about going out on his own.
We knew that it had been wet and had been reported wet from the Fall season, but we didn't know how wet and as we were the first known Canyoneers to descend the canyon this season we went in prepared with wetsuits and some anchor material. We weren't quite expecting to find what we did with the anchors though and we had to get creative on the last anchor drop.
Always plan your trips accordingly and do some research as best as possible. The conditions will change and you never know exactly what to expect.
