Why Does This Work - The SFV Normal Priority System

While trying to test out Ryu's frame traps, I accidentally made a discovery. SFV uses a Third Strike style normal priority system. If two normal attacks would trade, and one of them is a higher strength button than the other, the stronger button will counterhit the weaker button instead.
This applies to command normals, but does not apply special attacks or EX attacks. It probably does not apply to air normals, though I could not test that conclusively.
Because of this, even a normal like Ryu's standing medium punch, which is weirdly only +1 on block, can be situationally used for frame traps. In general, mashing crouching jab because you're in a bad situation is an easy way to get counterhit.
