Award-winning author, broadcaster, and journalist Marina Cantacuzino felt a deep calling to effect real change in the world. Driven by a profound desire to make a positive impact, Marina used her platform to champion the transformative power of forgiveness.
In the wake of the 2003 invasion of Iraq, Marina was struck by the pervasive need for forgiveness in a world ravaged by conflict and vengeance. Frustrated by the endless cycle of violence, she decided to channel her feelings into something constructive. This led to the creation of the groundbreaking exhibition, “The F Word: Stories of Forgiveness.”
The exhibition showcased powerful narratives of victims who chose forgiveness over retaliation, reaching an audience of 6,000 people in just ten days and touching the lives of 30 million more online. Through these stories, Marina shifted the global perspective on conflict, illustrating that forgiveness can lead to healing and peace.
Building on the success of her exhibitions, Marina founded The Forgiveness Project. For the past 21 years, she has dedicated herself to spreading the message of forgiveness through numerous books, papers, chapters, and articles. The Forgiveness Project has become a beacon of hope, demonstrating that forgiving can lead to profound personal
and societal transformation, even in the face of unimaginable pain.
Marina Cantacuzino’s journey is a testament to the incredible power of storytelling and the human capacity for forgiveness. Her work inspires millions, proving that we can break the cycle of hatred through understanding and compassion and create a more peaceful world, one story at a time.
