Waste Watch – Step 1: Throw gold in a creek; Step 2: ???; Step 3: Profit!
In a foolish bid to promote tourism, Yukon’s tourism department gave $139,000 for a tourism association to throw gold in a river as a publicity stunt. It turned out to be an award-winning waste of money.
