World's Longest Outdoor Art Gallery: 9 Mile Canyon, Utah

Ancient peoples like the Ute and Fremont who drifted and traveled through this desert corridor left their art on the canyon walls. Images of big horned sheep, bison, owls, horses and hunters, humanoid shapes, snakes, and patterns of dots have withstood hundreds of years, some possibly even more than one thousand years old. This place is described as the "world's largest outdoor art gallery" - an incredible place to visit to learn more about the ancient ones who came before us. This is Nine Mile Canyon in Carbon County, Utah.
I documented as many as time allowed on this winter's day, amazed by the quality and size of these images. Of course I ran out of time, as the sun dipped, and the cold winter chill settled back into the canyon.
