As You Like It

As You Like It follows Rosalind, daughter of the exiled Duke Senior, and her cousin Celia as they flee persecution in the court of Rosalind's usurping uncle, Duke Frederick. Seeking safety and, eventually, love, they disguise themselves—Rosalind as the young man Ganymede and Celia as the shepherdess Aliena—and escape to the Forest of Arden. There, they encounter other characters fleeing the court's treachery, including Rosalind's beloved Orlando and her banished father.
