Toccata and Fugue in D minor is probably one of Bach's most famous organ works of all time. When he wrote it, which likely occurred between 1705 and 1710, he was working as the organist for the Duke of Weimar.
The organ that Bach used was the organ at the Weimar castle chapel, which was actually tuned half a step higher than our modern tuning system, meaning that when he first played the Toccata and Fugue in D minor, it would have sounded like our modern D# minor. This tutorial is transposed up a half step, to replicate that sound.
I hope you enjoy!
