QBJ3 es el map jam de Quake más grande jamás hecho, con un peso de algo más de 5 GB y un total de 70 mapas creados por otros tantos autores. Además, se ve potenciado con música completamente nueva y reemplazos de armas y enemigos, convirtiéndolo prácticamente en una conversión total y en un juego independiente.
