My long time friend broke down and needed to be towed in. We were able to diagnose the problem in mere minutes and come up with a repair plan for only about $140. Multiple oil changes to clean out the very contaminated crankcase, a couple of new oil filters, and a $4 part. Draining 15 gallon of oil and coolant from a 5.5 gallon crankcase was a scary thing to see but i believe we have dodged a very serious problem and saved this engine on the cheap. Fingers crossed for a safe trip home to Florida for Dan and Sandy.
