Despite loving to spend time on the water - spending time in the mountains has a similar effect.

The Rally Frontera Internacional MAD 2025 took place from February 21 to 23, 2025 in the Dominican Republic. It’s one of the country’s biggest off-road motorsport events, bringing together enthusiasts from across the Caribbean, Latin America, and Europe. Friday, Feb 21: Departure from Santo Domingo through Pedro Brand, Medina, Los Cacaos, Jiguey Dam, San José de Ocoa, Padre Las Casas, Guayabal, Constanza, ending in Jarabacoa.
Saturday, Feb 22: Jarabacoa to Jumunuco, Juncalito, Las Placetas, El Rubio, Sabana Iglesias, Tavera Dam, then looping back to Jumunuco.
Sunday, Feb 23: From Jarabacoa to La Vega, El Puerto, and finishing in Bonao.
📏 Competition Format
This year, the rally returned to its original navigation-based format — it’s not a speed race. Participants aim to minimize penalties by accurately following the route and hitting checkpoints. The focus is on precision and navigation skills.

Participants had access to lodging, light meals at "oasis" rest stops along the route, mechanical support teams, and live social media coverage with daily highlight reels. The event also offered participation packages with accommodation included.
