Traffic Challans in Punjab at Peak | Expensive Driving Licenses & Heavy Challans | Public Awareness?

In today’s video, we discussed how traffic challans in Punjab have reached an all-time high, not because road safety has improved, but because challans are being used as a revenue generation tool.

Reports and ground realities show that traffic wardens are given “targets” to issue challans, forcing them to fine citizens rather than focus on awareness or improving road discipline.

Meanwhile, road conditions, signal installations, pedestrian safety, and helmet awareness remain neglected. No proper campaigns, no signage, no community education.

We also highlighted how driving license fees have become extremely expensive, making it difficult for the working class to afford. On top of that, the license issuance system is slow, faulty, and discouraging, pushing many people to drive without licenses — which increases challans further.

This system has created a cycle where public suffers, trust breaks, and no long-term solution is implemented.

Is this about public safety or just a money-making system?
