I decided to go with a taller gearing on the BMW by dropping 3 teeth off the rear sprocket. I also went with a 520 chain and sprocket instead of the 525 stock, so that should give me a slight performance advantage. First impressions are good with the new gearing, definitely a lot calmer on the highway (dropped around 500 rpm at 80 mph).
