Anthony Bourdain’s Favorite Sandwich

INGREDIENTS:
1 sandwich roll (sourdough or Kaiser)
9 thin slices of mortadella
3 slices of provolone cheese
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1½ teaspoons Dijon mustard
RECIPE:
1. Prepare the Mortadella: In a large skillet over medium heat, arrange the mortadella slices into three loose piles.
2. Fry the mortadella piles until browned on the bottom, about 2 minutes. Flip them over.
3. Add Cheese: Place a slice of provolone cheese on top of each mortadella pile. Continue cooking until the cheese melts and the bottom is crispy.
4. Toast the Roll: Lightly toast the sandwich roll to your preference.
5. Assemble the Sandwich: Spread the mayo on half the toasted roll and mustard on the other side.
6. Stack the cheesy mortadella piles onto the roll.
7. Cut in half and enjoy!
