Mother Earth es el segundo álbum de larga duración del grupo holandés Within Temptation. Este disco es una evolución con respecto al anterior. Los temas que tratan son sobre la naturaleza, la vida y la muerte. Aquí desaparece la voz gutural que caracterizaba las anteriores canciones.

Este álbum fue un boom en su carrera musical, y llevó al grupo a los puestos más altos en las listas de ventas de su país.

The Silent Force es el tercer álbum musical de estudio del grupo holandés Within Temptation. Los colocó como los nuevos líderes del movimiento gótico europeo. Su anterior trabajo fue el exitoso álbum “Mother Earth” (2001). Para la grabación del disco han contado con una orquesta de 80 músicos y un coro Ruso, además de múltiples instrumentos clásicos, profundos bajos y diversos instrumentos. Éste fue el disco decisivo para darle fama y comercialidad al grupo.
