Through this piece, I wanted to capture the uncertainty that can come with trying to distinguish right from wrong. The vampires in this series need to kill humans to survive, which prompts the humans to band together to hunt down vampires. Under these circumstances, it is not entirely clear who is in the right. The humans are trying to avenge their loved ones, but the vampires never asked to become creatures that must take lives - they are burdened with guilt, and most wouldn't be killing people if they did not need to.

This specific scene shows Natsuno (a human) trying to coexist with his friend Toru, who was recently turned into a vampire after being killed by one. Although Toru doesn't want to hurt Natsuno, he struggles to fight against his vampiric urges.
