The Register's Somerset Shenanigans weekend event took place in July where we were ably shepherded by our Somerset & Dorset Reps Nigel & Jo May.
Based just outside of Bridgewater at the Laburnum House Hotel the weekend began with a skittles challenge mainly between the South East group and the local Somerset Region. Predictably the locals won. Saturday was the Moor and Shore Tour running along the edge of Exmoor to Lynmouth and then back across the Moors themselves with outstanding views across to Wales. Sunday was the More Moor and Tor Tour where crews stuck to the Somerset levels and their strange outcrops of rock of which Glastonbury Tor is probably the best known example. A final descent through Cheddar Gorge saw the crews gather at a Garden centre for ice creams prior to dispersal.
