The final session of the 9th Annual Johns Hopkins Research Symposium on Engineering in Healthcare, “AI for Clinical Documentation” featured a talk by Anirudh Sridharan, the interim chief information officer of Johns Hopkins Medicine, on “Transforming Clinical Documentation: The AI Scribe Rollout at Johns Hopkins Medicine.” This was followed by a group panel with moderator and audience questions, where Sridharan was joined by Deanna Hanisch, the vice president and chief information officer of the Johns Hopkins Health System; Brian Hasselfeld, the executive medical director for digital health and innovation at Johns Hopkins Medicine; and Valerie Smothers, the director of the Office of the Data Trust at Johns Hopkins Medicine.
Shortly after, the symposium closed with final remarks from Malone Center Director Alexis Battle.
