The ISO/SAE 21434 Road Vehicles – Cybersecurity Engineering, which was officially published as "First Edition" in August 2021 provides OEMs and Tier-N suppliers with a basis for a systematic approach to cybersecurity in the automotive industry at the organizational level, for development projects, for cross-organizational collaboration, for engineering processes, and for individual roles and more. As a result, OEMs and Tier-N are struggling to integrate cybersecurity principles into supply chains and the entire automobile-lifecycle.

👨‍🏫 Your speaker is Felix Roth, Senior Consultant at CYRES Consulting, experienced automotive cybersecurity consultant, part of the CYRES Academy trainer team and member of DIN NA 052-00-32-11 AK "Cybersecurity" and thus also of the ISO/TC 022/SC 32/WG 11 “Cybersecurity” covering the development of the ISO/SAE 21434 and ISO PAS 5112.

After presenting the ISO/SAE 21434:2021 (the so called "First Edition") and getting an overview of the different clauses, we explain the differences between the now officially published version and the previous draft versions (DIS and FDIS). Later we describe why is it so important to achieve compliance and how to kick start your ISO/SAE 21434 activities. In addition we answer numerous questions from our viewers in the second half.
