A suspected encounter has been reported under the jurisdiction of Amritsar Dehati’s Kambo police station. Two days ago, a shopkeeper was shot dead in the village of Dhulke. Following the incident, police carried out an encounter operation in which a youth identified as Raja Billa was killed.

Another accused, Mandeep Singh alias Sammi, was arrested. During interrogation, Sammi revealed that the weapon used in the shopkeeper’s murder had been provided by Sukhpreet alias Sukh, a resident of Patiala.

Based on this information, the police set up a checkpoint to intercept Sukh. When officers attempted to stop him, he allegedly opened fire on the police team. The police retaliated, and during the exchange of gunfire, Sukh sustained a bullet injury in his leg. He was later taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
