MXR Micro Amp to Distortion Plus Mod - John Frusciante to Randy Rhoads Tones

The MXR Micro Amp and Distortion Plus Pedals share very similar schematics however, they are fundamentally two different pedals. The Micro Amp is used by John Frusciante of the Red Hot Chili Peppers who predominantly uses a clean sound, and the Distortion Plus was used by Randy Rhoads on the original classic Ozzy Albums, back in the eighties. Two eras, two sounds. One is pure amplification, and the other is mid-peak filtering and hard clipping. We add a filter switch and a clip switch to the MXR Micro Amp and get the best of both worlds (or eras).
