This gorgeous silent home movie of Honolulu, Hawaii dates to the 1940s during WWII. There are soldiers and sailors visible throughout the film, and a signpost at the start of the film points to Guadalcanal, where American Marines were fighting the Japanese in the first major offensive land battle of the Pacific Campaign. At 1:00 mark, you will see downtown Honolulu including shots of Twin Coach buses on the streets. There is more material in downtown at the 4:50 mark. At 6:14 some local ladies pose for the cameraman. At 14:18, soldiers are seen working on an apparatus of some sort.
