We learned about the village’s historical connections to the Mayflower Pilgrims. Pilgrims Elizabeth Tilley and Henry Samson were baptized at this church before sailing on the Mayflower. Henlow is also well-connected—Arlesey station is just a stone’s throw away.
There are as many as three pubs in Henlow. The Crown where you can book gastro with rooms can make your go-to list for a tasty high-end Sunday lunch plus a good wine list. The Crown also runs special events like taco and margarita nights. The Engineer’s Arms hosts a gin festival while The Five Bells is a more trad pub. The Koi Café is spot on for brunch and caffeine.
